PGI was started in 1968 as Lee’s Tool Service, sharpening cutters and other grinding for local machine shops and businesses in Albuquerque area. The name was changed to Precision Grinding Inc. (PGI) in 1985. As the grinding industry has faded, PGI has gradually evolved into a state of the art machining facility that produces complex components for both civilian and defense contractors. Grinding now accounts for less than 1% of PGI’s revenues.
With PGI’s longevity and years of experience, it had become one of the most tenured manufacturing facilities in the southwest boasting a reputation of quality and excellence! PGI has long standing relationships with companies like General Electric, Raytheon, NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and laboratories across the USA.
